 Firearms Safety and Street Survival Course

This course is available to members of the private sector or members of the armed or unarmed guard and bail enforcement or fugitive recovery sector who work in an armed capacity or simply want to learn how to be safe and comfortable around firearms and dangerous conditions.

Unfortunately, we live in a dangerous world. And for many of us, the time will eventually come when our ability to survive will hinge on some very crucial factors, among which will be;
(1) The ability to quickly recognize a threat when it is imminent
(2) The ability to select an appropriate response, and
(3) The ability to react efficiently with a plan of action that will neutralize the threat.
(4) The ability to be safe and comfortable around firearms

This class is designed to address these areas of need for both the security professional and the private citizen. It is offered to both sectors because all of us run the risk of becoming involved in a deadly force encounter at some point in our lives, regardless of who we are, what we do or where we live. And this is the basic premise, goal and objective of the class: to raise the awareness of participants and to provide them with the necessary mental preparation to deal with a life-threatening event if, or rather when, the time comes.

Classes are approximately/four hours in length. The cost is $100 per person with price breaks for four or more. Active group participation and discussion is expected and depending upon the needs of the client, there may be hands-on training that will expose participants to fundamental skills designed to build confidence and provide specific options in defusing and neutralizing aggressive behavior.

This is NOT a martial arts class! This is a basic street survival class designed to prepare participants mentally to defend their own lives in the event that they are forced to do so. Mental preparation is crucial, because without it, all the firearms training and physical conditioning in the world is useless.

NOTE: The elements of this class can be found in THE ROLE OF THE SECURITY OFFICER by Michael Jaquish, and/or PERSONAL SURVIVAL by Michael Jaquish- both books are available via this website.

Please contact Mike Jaquish to register and for more information.
