This is a 290-page autobiographical account of the high points of the author's police career and follows his transition into the field of international diplomatic security and intelligence in West Africa. THE JAQUISH FAMILY HISTORY- Descendants of Henri Jaques in America from 1640

The history of the Jaquish family in America can be traced all the way back to Henri Jaques, a carpenter by trade, who immigrated from England to New Jersey in 1640. Henri changed the spelling of his surname to Jaquish upon arrival in the colonies and became Henry Jaquish. Henri's grandson died at sea while captain of his own sloop and his great-grandson fought as an officer in the American Revolutionary war. This book documents the journey of the descendants of Henry Jaquish that carried them into modern times.

FATU AND THE LIONESS- A traditional West African folk story

A SKETCHY LIFE- Evidence of a lifetime of doodling

This book contains over fifty pencil and ink sketches done by Michael James Jaquish. Some were created for specific reasons (such as a line of greeting cards or to illustrate a children's book) but most were done simply to satisfy a powerful addiction to doodling. A number of them were created by candle light in the jungles of West Africa or equally exotic spots around the globe.

The point of this book is; you don't have to be a "brilliant artist" to have fun sketching! Drawing comes more naturally for some than others but no one should ever be afraid of expressing themselves with a pen or pencil when the mood strikes.
